Who can sell on Handmade?
The Handmade shop is available for artisans to sell their handcrafted products to millions of Amazon customers around the world. Amazon uses an application process to add new artisans to the Handmade category to ensure that customers can buy with confidence.
How do our fees work?
Joining Handmade, creating your shop and listing your products is free. When you make a sale, Handmade will deduct a 12.36% referral fee.

During the registration process, you’ll sign up with a Pro selling plan that provides you with Handmade-specific tools and support to help you grow your business. Professional selling plan sellers pay a monthly fee of €39. But don't worry – this fee doesn't apply to Handmade sellers.
What do I have to do to create a Handmade shop?
The first thing is to set up a seller account with Amazon. Visit How to Start Selling on Amazon to get started. Once you've registered, you can apply to sell on Amazon Handmade. Here we'll ask you for information about your products and business to ensure the integrity of the Handmade shop. Once you receive authorisation, you'll have resources at your disposal to create your first Handmade listing and manage your business.
What categories are available in Handmade?
The Handmade shop is open to artisans who manufacture products within these categories: Accessories, Artwork, Baby care and baby goods, Beauty and personal care, Clothing, Shoes and accessories, Home, Home and outdoor, Jewellery and watches, Home and kitchen, Pet products, Sports and outdoors, Party goods and stationery, and Games and toys. If you don't see your product category listed, it means that we don't allow those items to be sold in the Handmade shop. Among the most popular categories that aren't currently available are digital or downloadable products, grocery items and electronics. You may want to register your sales and list your products in another Amazon shop, or check back later to see if the category is available in Handmade.
What if I already sell on the Amazon online shop?
No problem at all! Once you have completed your application to join Handmade and have been approved to sell, you'll be able to list your products with Handmade as well.
Do I have to reapply if I already sell with Handmade in another country?
If you already sell with Handmade on, you can also sell in all five European shops (,,,, without resubmitting your application. Log in to Seller Central and choose the country you want from the drop-down menu in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. In addition, you can sign up to sell in our three shops in North America (,, Please note that you will be responsible for compliance with all rules and regulations that govern each country in which you operate.
I've already applied. What is the status of my application?
You can check the status of your application using your email and configuration code.
What happens if I create an Individual seller account?
In this case, you'll need to switch to a Professional account once you're authorised. With this plan, you can make the most of all the features that we offer to our sellers so that you can grow your business. To switch from an Individual to a Professional selling plan:
  1. Go to Settings and then select Account info.
  2. On the Selling partner Account Information page, go to the Your Services section and click Manage.
  3. In the Sell on Amazon row, under the You are signed up for section, click Upgrade.
  4. Review the terms on the next page, and then click Proceed to Upgrade. You will be returned to Your Services. You'll see a message stating that the upgrade process has started.
What happens if I create a Professional seller account and am charged the monthly fee?
If you haven't applied to sell on Handmade, click here to get started. Once you are approved to sell on Handmade, you can contact Handmade Support team for a reimbursement. To do so, click here or go to Get Support and choose Selling on Handmade.
