What is Amazon's heavy and bulky shipping template?
Whether it's a sofa, washing machine or sports equipment, easy and effective planning improves the customer experience when it comes to heavy and bulky deliveries. By ensuring that customers are home to receive their deliveries, you can save time and expense from unsuccessful deliveries. The Heavy and Bulky programme offers a shipping template with two shipping options
Arranged delivery
With this shipping option, customers are informed on the product and checkout page that they will be contacted to arrange delivery and that they must update their phone number before completing their order. You or your courier company will contact the customer by phone, text or email to arrange delivery.
Scheduled delivery
With this shipping option, customers can choose a preferred delivery date or delivery time from a calendar at checkout. You can set up the calendar in advance with available delivery dates and time slots. At checkout, customers can also update their phone number, in case you want to contact them on the day of delivery. Delivery includes home delivery.

Register to be a selling partner on Amazon
You must be a registered selling partner to be able to sell heavy and bulky products on Amazon. If you are new to Sell on Amazon, register here.
Step 2
Request the Heavy and Bulky shipping template
The Heavy and Bulky shipping programme is an invitation-only programme designed to provide the best customer experience for Heavy and Bulky shipments. To be eligible for Amazon's Heavy and Bulky shipping programme, you must meet the following criteria:
- Products: Sell heavy and bulky products (weighing more than 30 kg or length greater than 1.5 m or circumference diameter greater than 300 cm).
- Tracking: Transfer tracking IDs to Amazon and work with an integrated carrier that can provide full tracking information to Amazon.
- Delivery scheduling: For arranged delivery, you or your carrier will arrange delivery with the customer. For scheduled delivery, you are able to deliver heavy and bulky items within the customers' preferred delivery date. You can set up the calendar in advance with available delivery dates and time slots.
Step 3
Enrol in the programme and set up the new shipping options
When we receive your application, we will contact you to check if you meet the criteria to enrol in the programme. Once you've enrolled, you'll be able to set up your new shipping options in your shipping settings.

Create your Amazon Selling Partner account and sign in to Seller Central to set up Fulfilment by Amazon.
Step 2
Create your product listings
Once you have added your products to the Amazon catalogue, specify your Fulfilment by Amazon inventory.
Your Fulfilment by Amazon heavy and bulky items will be shipped to specialised fulfilment centres in each region.

Prepare your products
