How can I start selling on Amazon?
Getting started as a seller on Amazon is very simple. To start selling on Amazon, you must complete the following steps:
  • Firstly, choose your selling plan based on the number of products that you think that you're going to sell per month. We offer two types of plans: Individual and Professional. We even have a simple Fee Calculator for selling on Amazon that will help you understand how much you can earn through each plan based on a given number of products sold.
  • Next, you'll need to complete the registration process. For this, you’ll need an Amazon customer account or a corporate email address, as well as your (or your company's) credit card details. You will also need to provide a valid ID (a copy of your passport or a national ID card, for example). If you run a business, you'll also need to share your company registration details, including tax certificates (such as the VAT certificate). Finally, you'll need to share your phone number and bank account details.
  • Once your registration is complete, you'll gain access to your Seller Central account, where you can manage your business.
  • Next, you'll need to catalogue your products by adding a product ID, SKU, product title, product description, product images, and relevant search terms and keywords, as well as the cost of each product.
  • Then, you'll need to choose the right management option to ship your products to customers.
  • You're ready to start selling on Amazon.
Is Amazon right for my business?
The short answer is: yes. The main household brands are sold on Amazon. And so are emerging brands that will soon pop up on your radar. Amazon helps small and medium-sized businesses, which account for more than half of the units sold in our stores worldwide, thrive. Whatever your business, and regardless of its size, we're excited for you to grow with us. Find the format that best suits your needs and launch your e-commerce business today.
How long does Amazon take to pay its sellers?
Amazon settles the account balance 14 days after you register your seller account. This means that Amazon will initiate a payment to your bank account on the settlement date. The settlement process is repeated every seven days.
How much does it cost to sell a product on Amazon?
The selling fees you pay depend on your sales plan and the type of products you sell.

Sales plan fees
These are the commissions you pay for your sales plan, and they vary depending on the plan you choose.
If you choose the Professional sales plan, you'll pay a fixed rate of EUR 39 per month. You won't pay any commission for individual items (i.e. you'll only pay EUR 39 per month, regardless of the number of items you sell).
If you choose the Individual selling plan, you'll pay a fee of 99 cents for every item you sell on Amazon.

Selling fees
These fees are charged per item sold and include referral fees (which are a percentage of the selling price and vary depending on the product category), and variable selling fees (which apply only to multimedia categories).

Shipping costs
When you fulfil the orders yourself, Amazon shipping fees apply. We charge these shipping fees based on the product category and the shipping service selected by the buyer.

Management fees
For products that Amazon fulfils for you (known as Fulfilment by Amazon or FBA), there are fees for order fulfilment, storage and optional services.
