Ready to get started? Here's how it works

Step 1

Log in to Seller Central. If you're new to selling on Amazon, sign up now
Click on the "Ads" tab and follow the prompt to begin. Choose your campaign type and follow the steps to create your campaign. If you want to set up a Store, click on the "Stores" tab and follow the steps to create your first page.

Step 2

Create your campaign
Creating a campaign can take as little as five minutes. To create a Sponsored Products campaign, choose the products you want to advertise, choose between automatic and manual segmentation, and decide how much you want to pay per click. For a Sponsored Brands ad, choose at least three products you want to advertise, add your logo and a custom title, and decide which keywords to target and how much you want to spend. For Stores, use our pre-designed templates, drag-and-drop boxes, and dynamic add-ons to create your personalised Store for free. In Sponsored Display, select your audience, set your offer and daily budget, choose the products that you want to advertise and create your campaign.

Step 3

Reach more shoppers with sponsored ads
Sponsored Products is activated immediately, while Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display and Stores require a moderation review. Based on relevance and bid, ads are shown to customers in high-visibility placements on shopping results and product detail pages. Sponsored Display gives you the option to show your ads on third-party websites and applications,
allowing you to reach buyers who have viewed the detail pages of the products that
your brand sells and encourage them to return to those pages.

When shoppers click on Sponsored Display or Sponsored Products ads, they are directed to the product detail page. Your Sponsored Brands ad will take shoppers to your Store or to a custom landing page that showcases your products.

Step 4

Control your costs
Most sponsored ads are cost-per-click solutions, which means that Amazon charges for the number of clicks that you receive on your ads. You can choose how much you want to spend on one click and set a budget for the maximum amount that you're willing to spend on your ads in a day.

Step 5

Measure your success
You'll be able to track your impressions, clicks, click-through rate, new brand customers, traffic to your Store, ad spend and much more. This knowledge will help you monitor ad performance and optimise your campaigns.

How do I pay for my ads?
When you advertise, Amazon charges for the number of clicks that your ads receive. Advertising costs will be indicated on the seller's invoice. You'll find these charges in the Selling Fees section of your invoice. By default, advertising fees are deducted from your seller account balance. The total advertising fee is deducted from your seller account during the invoice period. If your seller account does not have sufficient funds to cover the advertising fees, the remaining balance will be charged to the credit card that you used to sign up for Selling on Amazon. If we can't charge your credit card after several attempts, your advertising account will be blocked.

You can change your payment method to deduct it from a credit card. You'll receive an invoice every time that your credit card is charged. The invoice date is the date of the monthly invoice, or the date that the credit level changes.

Your credit card is charged when you accumulate your first pound's worth of clicks. (This transaction is used for the validation of your credit card).

You accumulate additional clicks that reach or exceed your credit limit. Your credit limit increases according to a "credit scale". Every time that you reach your current credit limit and make a successful payment, your credit limit increases one level on the credit scale: to €50, €150, €200, €350 and finally, to €500.

You have an outstanding balance from the previous month, regardless of your credit limit. This fee is payable on the third day of every month.

Note: Your credit card will be charged every time that you reach your current credit limit. Every time that you move up the credit scale and change your credit limit, your credit card will be charged more than once in that month. If you don't exceed your credit limit, you'll only be charged once in that month.
