About the brand

My name is Afsaneh Parvizi-Wayne, and I am the founder of Freda Health. We launched Freda in January 2018. We sell organic menstrual pads and tampons made in a sustainable and chemical-free way. Recently, we launched thin pads for stress incontinence.

What are some of the biggest challenges your company is facing?

In contrast to other start-ups, the main challenge for Freda was to find its unique positioning in the field of women's health, especially in regard to the topic of menstruation and overcoming certain taboos.

Another major challenge was to develop a strong brand presence. How do you publicise a product that is only available online or digitally?

What drew you to Amazon Launchpad?

What drew me to Amazon Launchpad was the possibility of having a multi-skilled expert colleague on hand to help answer any questions that we wanted to ask.

We also use Amazon Launchpad as a way to educate, so we are raising awareness that women's health doesn't have to be a taboo subject. Amazon is the best megaphone for us.
