Referral fees
For each product sold, sellers pay Amazon a percentage of the total price (this percentage is applied to the final price of the product, including shipping costs, VAT and gift-wrapping charges) or a minimum amount, whichever is greater. Referral fees are added to selling plan fees.
FEES
Category referral fees
Sellers pay a referral fee for each product sold. For all products, Amazon deducts the applicable referral fee percentage calculated based on the total sales price. The total sales price is the total amount paid by the buyer, including the item price and any shipping or gift-wrapping charges.

Are you planning to sell all over Europe? Pan-European FBA and FBA solutions enable thousands of businesses to reach millions of Prime customers across Europe, faster and more cost-effectively.
When you fulfil orders yourself, Amazon charges shipping fees based on the product category and shipping service selected by the customer and then transfers the amount to you in the form of a shipping credit.
Sellers on the Professional plan set their own shipping rates (except for Books, Music, Video and DVD; see credit table below). When a customer buys your product, you receive a credit from Amazon that matches the shipping rate. Please note that the referral fee is calculated from the total sales price, including the item price, shipping cost and any gift-wrapping charges.
Sellers on the Individual plan use the shipping rates set by Amazon for all products. Sellers on the Individual plan are required to ship orders at set rates, even if the shipping credit is less than the total shipping cost, so it's important to price your products in a way that ensures you make a profit.
Shipping credits for Books, Music, Video and DVD
Amazon charges customers the following shipping rates for Books, Music, Video and DVD products. Sellers receive the same amount in the form of shipping credit. This applies to sellers on the Professional and Individual selling plans.

Other costs
When calculating the total cost of selling in Amazon shops, make sure that you consider any additional selling costs that you may incur and other optional programmes designed to help you increase sales
Additional selling fees
Inventory charges
If you store inventory in an Amazon fulfilment centre, available to selling partners using FBA or Multi-Channel Fulfilment, in addition to monthly storage fees, you may incur other charges such as long-term storage fees for exceeding the stated amount, or removal fees.
High volume listing fees
The high volume listing fee will only apply if you exceed 2 million SKUs in a given month, and will apply to the highest number of SKUs over 2 million at any time in that month. For each active non-multimedia SKU greater than 2 million, a fee of €0.0004 per SKU will apply.
Refund handling fee
If you refund a customer for an order for which you have already received payment, Amazon will refund you the amount of the referral fee that you paid for the products, less the applicable refund handling fee, which is less than €5 or 20% of the applicable referral fee.
For example, if you refund a customer for the total sales price of €10 for a product in a category with a referral fee of 15%, the refund handling fee will be €0.30 (€10 x 15% of the referral fee = €1.50).

Optional programmes

Amazon takes care of your shipping, returns and customer service. FBA special programmes, such as FBA Small and Light, FBA Subscribe & Save, Dangerous Goods programme, Multi-Channel Fulfilment, Pan-European FBA and FBA New Selection help you to stay competitive and only pay for the services that you use.
Amazon Partnered Carrier programme
Amazon partnered carriers offer discounted rates when you send inventory to an Amazon fulfilment centre.
FAQ
Get answers to the most frequently asked questions about using Amazon for e-commerce.
How are Amazon’s FBA fees calculated?
The compliance or FBA fees are calculated per item based on its category, size and weight, as well as the channel through which the item is sold. They cover the costs of storing your items in Amazon's fulfilment centres, as well as the collection, packaging and delivery once purchased, and the customer service.
These fees are charged per calendar month for all items stored in Amazon's fulfilment centres. Depending on the fulfilment channel used, you can get a preview of your estimated income (both total sales revenue and estimates per unit sold) using the FBA revenue calculator for specific items listed on Amazon.

What is the FBA calculator?
The FBA calculator is an estimating tool that you can use to check and compare the estimated revenue across every fulfilment option available for the products that you have listed on Amazon and registered for Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA). You can enter the expected total sales volume to estimate your total revenue, check the estimates per unit sold, and compare fees and profitability across the different compliance methods.
What is the difference between Amazon fees and FBA fees?
Amazon fees refer to the total charges that all sellers have to pay in order for their products to appear and be sold on the Amazon website. This includes the referral fee, which is a percentage of the total price of your product, taxes not included. It is charged for each item sold and varies by category.
Then, depending on your sales plan, you can either be charged per item or charged a fixed monthly fee. For example, the professional selling plan costs a monthly fee, which also offers the user a series of advantages.
In addition to that, some sellers may have to pay extra fees for premium or marketing services, as well as for other reasons. Please see this page for more information.
On the other hand, the FBA (Fulfilment By Amazon) fees are only charged for the products that you have included in this particular service. It is charged per unit depending on the category, size and weight of the item, and covers the cost of storing, collecting, packaging and delivering your products using FBA. If you have opted for this, these fees will be charged along with the other Amazon fees mentioned above.

How much does Amazon charge for product storage?
Sellers must pay a monthly inventory storage fee (storage fees) for the space occupied by all items stored in Amazon Fulfilment centres. It is calculated based on the average daily inventory volume, which is measured in cubic metres.
The fee per cubic metre varies depending on the calendar month: it is lower from January to September, while a slightly higher amount is charged for the high-traffic months at the end of the year, from October to December. The exact amount also depends on the category to which your product belongs, as well as on its dimensions (size).
There is a different fee structure for storing dangerous goods.
