Selling automotive parts efficiently on Amazon
In this article, we'll explain the best way to add vehicle compatibility information to your automotive parts listings on Amazon. When a customer buys a part, they need to know if it is compatible with their vehicle. Below is a description of the process for adding this information to your listings, which will help you complete more conversions and sales and mitigate returns related to compatibility issues.
Why is compatibility important?
Adding vehicle compatibility information through the Part Finder is a great way to make sure that your customers buy the parts they need. We strongly recommend that you include this information in your listings to ensure accurate search results which will, in turn, result in a potential increase in the conversion rate and better customer experience.
How do I add compatibility information to my listings?
a) One listing at a time
In the Seller Central or Vendor Central navigation menu, click "Inventory" and then "Manage Part Finder". Click "Add ASIN" and follow the instructions. Use an inventory template to add compatibility information to your listing.
b) Listing several products at once
i) See the Master Vehicle List to search for KTypes
To list various products at once, you need to add compatibility information using this list, which includes the vehicles that currently operate in your geographic area. The list is available to all selling partners who sell automotive parts on Amazon and provides the information used by our compatibility tools.
The general list of vehicles provides a KType for each vehicle. You can download it for all the geographical areas where it is available here:
